Hello!
We are all affected by this Global Pandemic of Coronavirus (Covid-19) in different ways and hope you are well. Your health and safety are still our number one priority as our patient, friend and community member. As a Dental Profession, we will do as much as we can to help you through any questions or discomforts you may have. One of our goals is to keep you out of the Hospital Emergency Rooms. The Government has a placed an order that all Dental Offices must limit their treatments. Although we have temporarily limited our business hours and are not open to see you for any non-emergency treatments, we are still available for certain emergency needs. We encourage you to evaluate your symptoms and call us if you want to discuss it. Tele-dentistry is a way to provide care without being face to face. Currently, Minnesota is under a Governor mandated stay- at -home order until May 13th, 2020. Our staff is committed to keeping you safe by following the stay at home order and attempting to stay healthy themselves. If we all do our part, we can hopefully enjoy the freedoms we love again soon.
If you have a dental emergency, and need to be seen, please review these symptoms and let us know if you have the following, which may be a risk of having Covid-19: fever, sore throat, dry cough or difficulty breathing ; Also, have you been exposed to the virus or have been tested for it?
What type of dental emergencies qualify to be seen? The ADA guidelines require us to limit treatments to problems like extreme pain, swelling and strong gum irritations. Each case is patient specific. You may need to be referred to a specialist.
What can I do at home? Please be diligent with your routine home care. Brushing, flossing and rinsing are the best therapies you can do on a daily basis to keep areas clean. Avoid extra sticky or crunchy foods at this time. Don’t sip sugary drinks all day. Swish with water after snacks and meals. Temporary filling or crown cement may work for you with a lost crown or filling.
What are we doing to help you? Access to care is still important. Communicating your needs and questions to us is still available. We are also keeping up on all of the CDC Guidelines and are preparing for new ideas as the virus continues to be a concern. As always, we are diligent about cleaning surfaces between patients with medical grade wipes. Our high-volume suction helps to minimize aerosols for both you and our staff. We offer eyewear for your protection and maintain awareness of people’s needs for comfort and safety.
Call us if you need help. We are here for you! 763-535-6777
Be healthy,
Your team at ABC Dental
