Root Canal
What is a root canal?
Root canal therapy is necessary when the nerve and blood vessels in a tooth begin to die. This can happen from a large cavity (decay), fracture or trauma. During root canal therapy, the affected nerves and vessels are removed and the inside of the tooth is cleaned and sealed. This process saves a tooth that would otherwise need to be removed.

Why do I need a root canal?
When the damage to the tooth causes extensive nerve damage, the tooth cannot be fixed with a filling or crown alone.

How do I know if I need a root canal treatment?
The most common symptoms of tooth infection:

-
Severe tooth pain
-
Extreme tooth sensitivity
-
Swelling and tenderness in the gums
-
Tooth pain that wakes you at night
-
