There are several reasons why a tooth needs to be extracted. If you have:
A tooth so badly damaged or decayed that it cannot be effectively restored with root canal treatment, crown or filling.
The tooth or periodontal (gum) infection has destroyed a large portion of the tooths supporting bone structure.
There are too many teeth to fit properly in the mouth, resulting in crowding of the teeth.
